Anderson High School

Anderson is a pretty cool school, although I'm thinking its like most high schools in the US. Our school colors are blue and gold and our mascot is a Trojan. Anderson is known mostly for its academics; we have an IB (or International Baccalaureate) program. The IB program integrates all parts of academics to make learning a combination of many things. It also allows for high school students to get college credit and possibly shorten their college experience. We aren't that strong in sports, but our school spirit makes up for it.

Our school is built with a central area where all the offices are that is surrounded by hallways that are divided up into different subjects. The problem is, all the hallways look the same on all the floors and on all sides of the school so its often really hard to figure out where you are...plus, for the first few weeks of school all the bathrooms were being renovated, so there were no open ones and it was really hard to find a bathroom. That was not fun.

We have an 8 period schedule, with 4th period being lunch for freshmen and 5th period being lunch for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Lets see...clubs...there are a lot of different clubs. JSA is really cool; its sort of like an informal debate club, where people share their thoughts about current issues. There is the formal Speech and Debate club where people go to competitions and get involved in many kinds of debating. GSA is an awsesome club that supports the LGBT community as well as straight people. There are clubs for Anime, bike riding, and just about anything you could have an interest in.

Yay Anderson. I'd like to point out that we actually won a football game this past thursday! yay!
